Each of these certificates can be completed through Chiota Aviation by our highly-trained instructors. Today, we are going to look at exactly what each certificate is going to entail and what you can do with each certificate. Both will require a pilot to meet the requirements of 14 CFR § 61.183.

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION (CFI)

Becoming a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) allows a pilot to teach Private Pilot and Commercial Single Engine Students the basics of flying, furthering their own knowledge and setting them up for the next step in the airline industry. As a CFI, you are able to build flight experience very quickly. This can be used to meet airline and corporate hiring minimums if you are trying to advance your career in flying. CFIs aim to be role models in the aviation community, spreading their knowledge to students who are learning to become pilots.

Estimated $4,000 to $5,000+ over the course of 2 to 3 months

Must meet requirements under 14 CFR § 61.183

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A CFI?
